More About Marcio
For nearly half a century I’ve been passionate about photography. My early memories involve me as a little boy running around with my dad’s super eight camera making movies. That evolved into my first borrowed camera from grandpa. A Yashica rangefinder, which coupled with a makeshift photo lab in my parents basement, further sparkled my art.
At the age of 15 I became a “professional photographer” working with a local shop, photographing weddings, graduations and events. That led to a job at the local newspaper for which I photographed the social column and sporting events. Eventually, I figured I needed a more conventional job and became a radiologist. Still taking pictures but with a “different kind of camera”.
I’ve been very fortunate to travel the world and make photos of amazing places. More recently, my photography was married to another passion of mine, Scuba diving. A lot of my photographic work is now undewater.
Thank you for taking the time to go through my website.
